back to work

Has it really been 6 weeks? It sure doesn't seem like it, but tomorrow Madelyn will be 6 weeks old and I have to go back to work. I'll miss the lazy days at home with little to do besides hang out with Madelyn (with a little house work thrown in there). It'll be good to get back to a regular routine. Wesley is on vacation this week to keep Madelyn, then the next week she'll stay with her Grandmother.

Madelyn hanging out in the shade at the Schofield Family reunion on Saturday

Madelyn (in her bathing suit) sleeping in her stroller at Big Poppa's birthday dinner. The pool was waay too cold for her.

Yesterday day Wesley, Madelyn and I had a lazy day at home. None of us got out of our PJs. We watched Gone Baby Gone, The Valley of Ellah, and Michael Clayton. They were all good movies and worth watching. Gone Baby Gone was nominated for several awards, but I don't know what it won. The other two I had not heard of, but would definetly recommend them. The Valley of Ellah is about a solider who went missing after coming back from Iraq. His father (also former Army) goes to the base to get answers for himself. He ends up helping the detective. I won't tell you any more as not to ruin the movie.

I did get a little sewing done during my 6 weeks off. I recently found a program that will let me put letter together to make words, instead of having to embroider each letter individually.

That is a onesie I made for Madelyn. It is my favorite I've embroidered so far. I also made several burp cloths for my Grandma to give as gifts, but forgot to take pictures before I gave them to her.

It's getting late, I'm off to bed in preparation for back to work tomorrow....

I scrapped!!

Yep you read that right, I actually got a page done.

Journaling says "A Mother's arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them" It also has Madelyn's birthday, weight and length. The writing in white on the bottom right says "with all my" with the heart below it.

It's been a while, so leave me some comments telling me what you think.

I hope to get a mini book done in the next few days for a graduation gift. I'll post pictures when it's done. Yay for scrappin again!!
Blogging is so much easier when I'm not working. I seem to be able to find plenty of time to get a blog done. Not a lot to report or blog on, but I know my faithful readers will be excited to see a post. Madelyn is starting to sleep a little better at night. She wakes up about every 4 hours now. She is also staying awake more during the day. I will be going back to work before I know it. Just a few more weeks, sad face. Wesley's Mom is going to keep Madelyn through the summer so we won't have daycare expense. YAY!!

I got some pictures in yesterday so hopefully I can get some scrapping done in the next week or so before I go back to work. It has been sooo long since I've actually sat down and did a LO. I've been busy with sewing and embroidery instead of scrapping. I have a few sewing projects I need to get finished before I go to Opp for Mother's day. So I'm off to be creative.

I was cruising Whore blogs and decided to go see what Deah had been up to, really expecting to find only one new post since I had last visited because in the past, Deah has been as bad a blogger as me...girl surprised me and had tons of new stuff.
