MK has been experiences lots of changes lately. As I said in my last post, she started daycare a few weeks ago. She doesn't get a bottle at daycare, only a sippy cup. She is doing fine with that as she has been semi-using a sippy cup since she was about 6 months old. Ms. Teena says she sometimes starts to get upset when she sees some of the younger kids bottles, but is fine as soon as she gets her cup.
We've also started taking her to the potty. She is doing pretty good with this too. She pees in the potty at least 2 times a day and some days more. I usually take her 1st thing in the morning and she goes. I'll then take her a few times at night. She pees just about every time I put her on it. I think she understands that she is suppose to pee when she sits on it, but does not understand when she has to pee. She'll get there!!
MK has also slept in her bed all night the majority of the time since we've moved. I think she has ended up in the bed with Wesley and I 3 nights. This is huge. Prior to moving she was waking up between 1-3 and not settling down until we put her in the bed with us. Because it was the middle of the night, we honestly didn't try to hard. It was just easier to put her in the bed with us. This way we all got sleep.
We've been enjoying the pool at the apartment complex too. We've been the last several days. Yesterday Kim brought Ian over and Krystina brought Vaughn and Kyra over to swim with us. We got a few pictures, but of course they are on the laptop and I'm using the desktop. If you're my facebook friend I've uploaded them there.
We are a two income family again! yay!! Thanks to a hasher friend, Lost My Balls (aka Doctor, aka Dad, aka Richard-- this is the name his Mom gave him!) Wesley starts at Terminex on Monday. He went for an interview Friday afternoon and got the job. I had taken the day off to stay with MK while he went to the interview. He called me about 1215 and told me to start looking for day cares. I got on the internet and began looking. I called a center in Dunedin, but really wanted a home daycare. I kept looking. I stumbled on Kathy's daycare website and blog. She is a scrapper and had lots of cute pictures of her kids scrapped. I called to see if she had any openings, but unfortunately she did not. She gave me Teena's number, who I immediately called. Luckily she had an opening. She gave me her blog address (you can also find a link on the side) and I went to check it out. She is also a scrapper and had lots and lots of cute pages of her kids that she had scrapped. We set up an appointment for Saturday afternoon. Wesley, MK and I headed over to her house this afternoon. MK loved it there. She has several dogs, which we all know MK loves dogs! Wesley and I also were very impressed. MK starts Monday!
Wesley's parents are in town for a family reunion. They arrived Friday about dinner. They treated us to a yummy meal at Smokey Bones. After dinner we met up with Brother, Victoria, Ben and Ericka. MK spent the night with Poppa and Grandmother in the hotel. We just hung out at the house listening to Ben and Brother reminisce about their Marine days. They are too funny!! At midnight the geeks that we are, we all jumped on facebook to sign up for our usernames. If you aren't my facebook friend, you can find me here .
This morning we got to sleep in til 930ish. MK is a good sleeper and likes to sleep in but it was good to not have to worry about her waking up and trying to escape the bed. Our bed is really high and she tries to get out and either gets stuck or falls, so we have to watch her. We met up with Wesley's parents and got some breakfast at IHOP then headed to Sam's for some groceries. Then it was time to go meet Ms. Teena. After that we had dinner at home.
Tomorrow we are headed to Sefner for the family reunion. Check back for pictures.

Family, Friend and Sun
We had a pretty busy weekend. Saturday started bright and early with Sunii's graduation from pre-school at 9:30. I didn't get any pictures, but I will steal some from Chrisy or Jenn. Beth, Chrisy and Tot came down for the graduation and to pack up Sunii and Dell for the move to Pensacola. Yep, that's right they are officially placed at Chrisy's house now! YAY!! If everything goes as it should, they will be Youngs in the next 90 days. How exciting seeing my job from the opposite side. After graduation we grabbed a quick bite to eat at the Lucky Dill Deli. It was yummy, but we should have skipped it. Wesley, MK and I left breakfast and headed to Ben and Ericka's baby shower.
The proud parents-to-be opening gifts from the wonderful friends.
The diaper cake I previously posted was for them. Ericka was super surprised and loved it! There was a ton of food at the shower, thus we should have skipped breakfast!! We had a lot of fun hanging out with everyone and talking baby. Wesley and I both won prized in the various games. I got the most number of baby foods right by just looking at them. Wesley won the trivia game. MK had a blast running around every where. Ian was there and she kept saying "E AN" it was really cute. Later in the day MK was in her stroller and dropped the whistle she was playing with. Ian came over and picked it up for her. They are too cute together.
MK taking a break to read during the shower.
After the shower, we headed back to Jenn and Dave's to help them get all the kids stuff together and in Chrisy's car for the move to Pensacola. Jenn swears she is excited and not going to miss the kids. I on the other hand think she will miss them greatly. She made a good point by saying that if they were going to someone she didn't know it would be different. Now she will get to see them regularly and be the "cool" aunt! What a great payoff for all the years she dedicated to them.
Sunday started out as a lazy day, but ended with fun in the sun. MK and I accompanied by Victoria went to the the beach. Victoria brought a picnic lunch and we enjoyed the afternoon at the beach. Of course we took lots of pictures.
Look at that hair! she wouldn't keep a hat on so I greased her head up with sunblock.
Chasing sea gulls. She likes it when the birds get close to her. She would chase them around for a while, then come up to me and Vic and say "Hi" the go off again after the birds. She is so darn cute!
